Q: Why am I in a class I did not sign up for?
A: Guidance counselors spend a week in every English class explaining courses in advance (ex. the year before). Counselors hand out Course Selection sheets and Course Guides for you to choose classes and return your selection sheets with a parent signature.
There are a couple different reasons why a class would appear that you did not choose:
       1. You did not return your course selection sheet within the required time frame signed by a parent.
       2. Your first class choice was full so the counselors did their best based on your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choices.
       3. You may have passed the class but did not pass the EOC (end of Course) exam associated with the class.

Q: Why am I in a Reading class or integrated math?
A: Every 9th grade student is required to take a Reading class. If you are an upperclassmen and taking Reading or Integrated Math; you are taking these classes based on test scores.
